| Welcome to Winchester Scouts,
the gateway to Scouting in Winchester.
Winchester is the ancient
capital of England situated in the heart of Hampshire, we are
one of the fastest growing and largest districts in the
county, if you want to get involved in scouting please contact
the District Commissioner now!
Our District Commissioner says..
Our plans for the 75 years celebration of our district
campsite are well underway and our badge competition designs
are being judged.
Families can bring their "picnic in the park" to meet
everyone when they arrive on site and we will have
entertainment at the end of the day finishing with a
traditional camp fire.
Don't forget though that before that we have our annual
Activity Day and AGM on the campsite on 8th May 2010 when we
will be taking part in "Jamboree on the trail" as well as
having the climbing wall, shooting, archery and crate staking
and hopefully some other scout skills that you can take part
in. Paperwork is now out and has been circulated to all
leaders. If you have not received yours contact the
DC.
The whole weekend has been dedicated to the adults in
scouting and the theme will be "Get Knotted", "Get Lost", "Get
Stuffed" and "Get me out of here" and will take place from
Friday 7th to Sunday 8th May when there will be opportunities
to learn and/or share traditional skills from fire lighting to
setting out a camp kitchen and all things inbetween - yes axe
and saw instructions will be available too.
Put these dates in your diary and visit the diary page for
