After many years of fund-raising, a couple of years ago the 8th Winchester received a substantial grant from the Community Fund enabling them to refurbish their Stanmore premises. They now have one of the best buildings in the district.

The facilities are enjoyed by thriving Cub and Scout groups although the Beaver Colony is currently closed whilst new leaders are recruited. In the summer months the sections enjoy the open spaces of nearby Whiteshute Ridge and other outdoor activities. The hard working leaders create an exciting and varied programme of events to challenge and keep the young people interested and on their toes with Summer camps being a regular popular feature well supported by all concerned.
